What happens next?

Buying meat this way is different than shopping at a grocery store. Your order involves a local farmer raising the animal and a local butcher processing it to your specifications. That means timing, communication, and coordination matter.

The Butchers Marketplace handles that coordination for you, making sure both the farm and butcher are aligned so you don’t have to manage multiple conversations or payments.

After checkout, you’ll receive a confirmation email. Your selected farm and butcher are both notified immediately with all the order details.

The farmer prepares your livestock for processing and coordinates delivery or drop-off with the butcher.

Your butcher will contact you directly to confirm cut details, processing options, and timing. From this point forward, the butcher will be your main point of contact.

Your meat is processed, packaged, and labeled according to your selected or submitted cut sheet.

Once your order is complete, your butcher will notify you when your meat is ready for pickup. Simply head to the butcher shop, pick up your locally sourced order, and enjoy farm-to-freezer freshness and unbeatable quality.
